Are we sons of God, just like Jesus Christ?

He (Jesus Christ) is the author of salvation. John 14-6: "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. 7"If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him."…

We are no sons of God, that is a egotrip, we are creatures of God, but, through the love of Jesus and his sacrifice, a place was bought to us in their kingdom.
In a way, through Jesus, we are adopted by the Lord.

It is also interesting to think that in Genesis the prophet talks about the original angels as "sons of God", which lead us to believe that they share part of his divine nature.

However, multiple passages show that even the angels knew their nature was very diferent from the nature of Jesus, as He was a God even to them.

Those are very interesting questions, but to me the diference is that Jesus Christ was Perfect and the angels were not, so that is the reason a third of them plus Lucifer turned against God.
Jesus was so perfect that He was willing to suffer a life of a human just to buy a place in heaven for the humans, now that is the ultimate mercy.

When you think why all this was necessary, the evil nature of Man is the best answer in my opinion, we are so wicked, so bad, so narcisistic and egotistical, that is no wonder that the Creator had to be persuaded to let us in Heaven.
These New Age claims that we can be "god-like" and that we have a "divine nature" are the ultimate blasphemy, planted by the fallen angels.

Actually, this WAS the FIRST lie Satan ever told the man:
"You surely will not die! 5"For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
Genesis 3-4

Then God himself declared the mortal nature of mankind:
Genesis 3-23: "Then the LORD God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever "

Then he sealed the tree of life, making us mortals till the Judgment, which is the reason why demons pretend to be dead relatives of some people.
